Omololu Shomuyiwa, former housemate of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality TV show better known as Lolu, has lost his brother-in-law to the coronavirus pandemic.

The reality TV star took to his social media page page to break the sad news to his numerous fans on Saturday.

He, however, did not provide further details about his deceased brother-in-law.

Lolu also appealed to his fans to remember his family in prayers as they grappled to cope with the shock accompanying news of the death.

“About an hour ago, I lost my brother-in-law to coronavirus. Please remember our family in your prayers. Thank you,” he wrote on Twitter.

Omololu featured in the ‘Double Wahala’ edition of the reality TV show alongside several others including Bamike Olawunmi better known as BamBam and Tope Adenibuyan known as Teddy A, who eventually tied the knot.

Highlights of his participation in the show included his rumoured love affair with Anto Lecky before the duo were evicted.

His brother-in-law’s death comes against the backdrop of a bevy of other celebrities who had also died of COVID-19, the disease cause by the coronavirus.

Nigeria currently has 305 confirmed cases of the novel disease as of the time this report was filed.
