Team Nelita — Nelly and Anita — has become the heads of house for the third week of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) season nine.
Nelita is a pair of friends named Nelly Mbonu and Anita Ukah.
Like the previous weeks in the house, the housemates participated in a ballot game wherein each pair was asked to vote for their preferred HOH.
After the game, Nelita got the highest votes and was declared HoH for the week. But in a new twist, Biggie disclosed last week that the HOH does not guarantee immunity from eviction.
They are however allowed to decide the punishment for any housemate found wanting for the week.
Team Handi x Wanni (Handi and Wanni) won the custodian challenge which grants them automatic immunity from the next eviction.
As the custodians, the pair can influence nominations for possible eviction in the first week as well.
The Mbadiwe Twins won the first HoH title of this edition.
Ndi Nne who won the title for the second week made history by becoming the first heads of house to be evicted on the show.
This year’s BBNaija premiered on July 28 with the unveiling of 28 housemates paired up in a team of 14.
The show will run for 71 days and end on October 6. The winner of the 2024 season will go home with the grand prize of N100 million.
