Ayra Starr, the Mavin Records-signed musician, missed her three-city US show over ill health.
The music star was billed to headline the Industry Night Show in Houston on Sunday.
She was also to perform at the Something In The Water concert in Virginia City.
The show was to feature ASAP Rocky, Busta Rhymes, and a host of other US stars.
In a statement on Sunday night, Ayra Starr said her doctor had placed her on immediate bed rest.
She apologised to fans over her inability to meet her stage performance obligations.
The singer reassured the public that she looks to make a special comeback when she recovers.
Her statement reads: “DC, VA & Houston, your girl is going through it.
“My doctor has advised I slow down, hence I’m on immediate bed rest.
“So sorry I couldn’t meet every one of you as planned.
“I’m also sorry you feel let down but I promise to be back in a special way for you when we’ll have a magical time.
“I appreciate your prayers and well wishes.”
Ayra Starr is a Beninese-born Nigerian singer.
She began a fashion career at 16 with Quove Model Management before deciding to pursue a career in music.
After doing covers for several songs by popular artists, she posted her first original song in December 2019.
This caught the attention of Don Jazzy, the record producer, who signed her to his label Mavin Records.
In early 2021, Ayra Starr achieved mainstream recognition with her eponymous debut EP and its hit track ‘Away’.
