According to a research by Environmental Working Group (EWG), 97 percent of spinach tested had pesticide residue while 90 percent of apple samples had pesticide residue just as 80 percent of the apples contained diphenylamine, a pesticide banned in Europe.

Please keep educating us , the developing countries because we don’t have ideas about the health benefits nor the health hazards of most of these fruits and vegetables.
There was a documentary on BBC showing farmers spraying apples with the same chemical used to preserve dead bodies alleging that this chemical will preserve the apples which will be exported to foreign countries. On the basis of this story, what sort of apple are we eating in Nigeria? Nigerian universities are busy competing with each other in churning out First Class students who are not employable in the first instance. Why can’t researchers in our universities use appropriate methods to gather these apples and analyze the fruit? God help us in Nigeria.
