The Airlander 10, the world’s largest aircraft, has embarked on its maiden flight after Sunday’s attempt to lift off was cancelled due to technical issues.

Airlander 10 took off from Cardington Airfield in Bedfordshire on the much awaited test flight.

The Airlander 10, which cost £25m, is 302ft (92m) long and is about 50ft (15m) longer than the biggest passenger jets available.
