According to NAN, organisers of the event announced the development in a statement in Abuja on Thursday.

The statement said the initiative will be the first of its kind induction and award ceremony created to recognise and celebrate the historic and cultural significance of Afro music.

“The ABHF honours the artistry and the contributions made by those who have played major roles in the dissemination and creation of music in the Nigerian entertainment industry and Africa at large,” it said.

The statement also said that a media parley would hold on November 11 as a prelude to the main event which had been slated to hold before the end of 2021.

“The media parley which brings together key stakeholders in the music and media industry, will feature a fireside chat with leading names,” it added.

“With media representatives from across TV, radio, print and digital platforms in attendance, the parley will among other things, shed more light on the upcoming Afrobeat Hall of Fame induction ceremony scheduled for the end of the year.”
