Peter Okoye, a former member of Psquare, was one of the winners at the fifth All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) held in Accra, Ghana.

At the AFRIMA event, which held on Saturday, he won the award for Best Artiste in African Dance or Choreography for his song ‘Ebeano’.

In September, Mr P was named best international male artiste at the 2018 edition of the International Achievement Recognition Awards (IARA).

When the duo disbanded, both singers launched individual music careers and adopted ‘Mr P’ and ‘Rudeboy’ as their stage names. Both artistes have kept busy, releasing singles and performing in various countries.

Other winners at the event were Falz, Nigerian entertainer, who won the Best African Rapper or Lyricist award for his single, ‘La Fete’.

‘Akwaaba’, a collaboration by GuiltyBeatz, Mr Eazi, Patapaa & Pappy Kojo, bagged the Best African Collaboration and Song of the Year awards.

Praiz was named the best artiste in African R ‘n’ B & Soul for his song ‘Champagne and Flowers’.

Fresh VDM was named Producer of the Year for ‘Fia’.

Davido won awards in three categories including the Best Male Artiste Western Africa while his Nigerian counterpart, Mr Eazi, won awards in two categories
