Bamikole Oladele Babs, the parliament’s speaker, described the recipient of the AYP’s highest honour as a reputable professional who also deserves a national award for his worthy contributions to the country over the years.

“I wish you to assure you that the AYP would partner with the relevant authorities with a view to recommending you for the national award,” he said.

The speaker said the conference tagged “Agenda 2030: New Possibilities for African youths” is aimed at sensitising African youths towards achieving sustainable goals for the future.

“We want to awaken the consciousness of not only African governments, but also youths and stakeholders in implementing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in Africa before its expiration in 2030,” he said.
