Davido, the award-winning singer, has announced the details of his highly anticipated ‘5ive’ Nigerian tour.

The singer took to his X page on Tuesday to reveal the dates and locations for the nationwide tour.

The five-city tour is set to commence in Akwa Ibom on October 26. It will then move to Adamawa on October 29, Enugu on November 1, and Ibadan on November 9, before concluding with a grand finale in Lagos on December 25.

According to the official tour flier, the Lagos date is subject to change.

Expressing his excitement about the upcoming shows, Davido described the tour as a personal and cultural homecoming for both himself and his fans.

“I’m blessed to perform all around the world, and everywhere I go, Nigeria goes with me. But this time, I’m bringing it home,” the post reads.

“After an unforgettable North American tour, it’s only right we bring that energy back to where it all began.

“5IVE TOUR NIGERIA — y’all ready? This one’s for the culture. This one’s personal. This one’s for us. #Davido #Homecoming.”

The Nigerian tour follows a successful international run across Europe and North America, which built anticipation for the release of his fifth studio album, ‘5IVE’.

Davido, born David Adeleke, first rose to prominence in 2012 with the hit single ‘Dami Duro’ from his debut album, ‘Omo Baba Olowo’.

He has since solidified his status as a global Afrobeats leader with a series of successful projects, including ‘A Good Time’ (2019), ‘A Better Time’ (2020), and the critically acclaimed ‘Timeless’ (2023).
