Fireboy DML, the Nigerian singer, has come through with a new single titled ‘Dopamine’.
The song, which is the singer’s first official release of the year, was delivered across streaming platforms in the early hours of Thursday.
In ‘Dopamine’, Fireboy expresses a deep yearning for intimacy and pleasure as he croons about the euphoric sensation that comes with love.
The song is a mesmerising ode to desire and emotional connection.
“Dopamine, dopamine/ Give it to me, give it to me/ All over me, pour it all over me/ I wanna feel, I wanna see/ Call police, stand at ease/ Do it to me, dance for me/ Dopamine, all over me/ Give it to me/ Issa situation/ I don’t wanna do no situationship/ I’m trynna stay strong,” he sings.
‘Dopamine’ follows the success of the singer’s fourth studio album ‘Adedamola’.
Born Adedamola Adefolahan, Fireboy rose to fame following the release of ‘Jealous’, his 2019 single. The singer got signed to YBNL, the record label owned by Olamide, in 2018.
He has since established a name for himself in the Nigerian music industry. He has also bagged a plethora of nominations and awards for his craft.
Fireboy became the first African artiste to perform on the main stage at the 2022 BET Awards ceremony.
