MultiChoice, the organisers of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), has called for entries for the 11th edition of the ceremony.

The AMVCA is a yearly award event that honours outstanding performances in television, film, and entertainment.

It celebrates exceptional talent, creativity, and innovation within the African film, television, and entertainment industry with recognition for storytelling, performance, and production.

In a statement on Monday, Busola Tejumola, the MultiChoice executive head of content and channels in West Africa, said entries opened on Monday and will close on January 31, 2025.

Tejumola added that the 11th AMVCA will give talented creatives their deserved recognition and create unforgettable memories.

“The awards have become a beacon of excellence, celebrating the vibrancy and diversity of African storytelling,” the statement reads.

“We are excited to once again open the doors for talented creatives across the continent to showcase their remarkable work to the world.”

AMVCA disclosed that recognised entries will be works that were broadcast or publicly screened from December 1, 2023, to December 31, 2024.

The award event will be broadcast live on Africa Magic channels across the continent.

Wale Ojo and Kehinde Bankole were among the top winners at the 2024 AMVCA. Ojo won the ‘Best Actor’ award while Bankole snagged the ‘Best Actress’ category.
