Burna Boy, the award-winning Nigerian singer, has come through with his highly-anticipated single ‘Bundle By Bundle’.
After weeks of teasing, the ‘African Giant’ hitmaker released the track on Tuesday.
In ‘Bundle By Bundle,’ the singer brags about his financial prowess while likening himself to Tony Elumelu, chairman of the United Bank for Africa (UBA) plc.
“Why you tell another person/ Wetin I tell you? Always like to say the truth and shame the devil/ No dey for all that kind level ’cause/ I no get time for the people/ Wey too dey wuru gbon lenu/ Emi, Mr. No gbo nothing no dey hear you/ 100,000 people when I pull up for the venue/ Why e be say I still dey hustle welu welu/ When I get money like Tony Elumelu,” he sings.
The single is from Burna Boy’s eighth studio album, ‘No Sign of Weakness,’ which will be released next year via Spaceship, Bad Habit, and Atlantic Records.
‘No Sign of Weakness’ will arrive two years after his last studio album ‘I Told Them‘.
Born Damini Ogulu, Burna Boy gained fame after releasing ‘Like to Party’, the lead single from his debut album ‘L.I.F.E’ (2013).
Since then, he has released seven albums: ‘L.I.F.E’ (2013), ‘On a Spaceship’ (2015), ‘Outside’ (2018), ‘African Giant’ (2019), ‘Twice As Tall‘ (2020), ‘Love, Damini‘ (2022) and ‘I Told Them‘ (2023).
He has also won several awards. In 2021, the Afro-fusion won the ‘Best World Music Album’ category at the Grammy Awards for his fifth album ‘Twice As Tall (2020)’.
In April, the Port Harcourt-born singer made the Time Magazine’s list of 100 most influential people for 2024.
