Ike made his debut in the film industry while studying at the University of Lagos.
His breakthrough in Nollywood happened after one of his senior colleagues introduced him to a movie producer named Charles Owoyemi.
In 1995, he was featured in the movie titled ‘Deadly Affair’.
He has since taken on several lead roles in Nollywood movies including ‘A Million Tears’, ‘Royal Calabash’, ‘Akunna’, ‘Secret Act’ and ‘I Swear’.
The actor has also been recognised nationally for his talent.
In December 2021, he revealed his plans to launch a TV channel aimed at promoting Nollywood and creating more opportunities for the movie industry.
“We need a level in Nollywood whereby the structure can run fine. Setting up a structure like Nollywood TV on TStv will give us that leverage to explore more of the potentials in the industry,” he said
