Omowunmi, the wife of Mohbad, says she will conduct a DNA test on Liam, their son.
Born Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, Mohbad passed away on September 12. He was laid to rest the following day.
On September 21, the body of the 27-year-old music star was exhumed by a combined team involving the police in Lagos and health officials for autopsy.
The autopsy was carried out that same day after which the police announced that they were awaiting the results.
Mohbad’s death has sparked discussions on social media, including speculation about the paternity of his son.
Joseph Aloba, the father of Mohbad, had also said he was in support of the call for a DNA test to ascertain Liam’s “true” paternity.
In a recent chat with Iyabo Ojo, Omowunmi said she would not speak regarding the ongoing situation until the coroner’s inquest on November 7.
She said the aim is to avoid potential distractions and focus on seeking justice for her late husband.
“Hello ma I have decided not to speak on anything until the 7th of November which is the coroner’s inquest because I do not want any side distraction,” she wrote.
“All I want is Justice for my husband which I believe the Nigerian government is working on, after everything I will either grant an interview or tell my own story before the whole world, and also DNA is definitely a must!!!”
