Joseph Aloba, the father of Mohbad, has lamented over the delay in the release of the deceased singer’s autopsy result.

Mohbad died on September 12 and was buried the next day.

The circumstances surrounding his death have continued to stir up controversies on social media.

On September 21, the police exhumed Mohbad’s corpse for autopsy, but the results are yet to be released.

In a recent interview, Aloba said the delay in the results is causing his son’s “remains to suffer”.

He also said some people are claiming that Mohbad is appearing to them because his body had not been buried.

“This autopsy is taking time. I was not aware it would take this much time, because Mohbad’s corpse should not be suffering. But we are not more powerful than the government since Nigerians said that is what they want,” he said.

“I will call the senior police officer after this interview and ask if they have taken all they need from Mohbad so the burial can be done.

“A lot of people are saying he is appearing to them, and it is because he has not been buried. We have to make preparations on how he will be buried as soon as possible.”

In September, Aloba revealed that his son passed away after receiving an injection administered by an auxiliary nurse.

On October 6, the police named Feyisola Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse who injected Mohbad, as the “prime suspect” in the singer’s death.

Ogedengbe and other suspects — including Primeboy, Naira Marley, and Sam Larry — are currently in police custody while the investigation into Mohbad’s death continues.

Naira Marley, Primeboy, and Sam Larry were also summoned by a Lagos coroner court sitting in Ikorodu over the death of the singer.

Adedayi Shotibi, the coroner magistrate, directed that the trio should appear before the court on October 25.
