Male lawmakers in Canada on Thursday wore pink high heels to raise awareness about violence against women.
The legislators participated in the “Hope in Heels” event sponsored by Halton Women’s Place, a shelter in Ontario, to show their commitment to ending violence against women.
Omar Alghabra, Canadian transport minister, took to his Twitter page to share a video of lawmakers walking around a conference table in high heels, clapping and shaking their hips in a cringey conga line.
