Tiwa Savage, the Nigerian singer, has come through with ‘Loaded’, her highly anticipated song featuring Asake.
The music star announced the release of the track in the early hours of Tuesday.
In the less than three-minute song, Savage revisits her sex tape saga in 2021.
She says she won’t allow the incident destroy her while taking a swipe at bloggers.
Asake also shows off his vocal prowess by blending his witty lyrics with the fast-paced beat.
“They wan jot something dem go learn lesson/ Opolopo, I dey carry first t’oba she bala bala, dem go come lesson/ Emi dagboru (Omo labasi)/ Awon blogger blogger t’ofe fimi/ Sex tape o’le baye mi je, igbadun kekere yen/ Na who never fuck, hands in the air/ Tiwa l’omo t’on so t’on so / Today Germany, tomorrow na London/ Money too long, e no get bus stop/ Won ni kin rora, kin rora, kin rora,” the lyrics read.
In October 2021, a video of an intimate moment between the songstress and her lover surfaced on social media.
The leaked tape stirred up mixed reactions from the public and her colleagues.
While some people critised the singer over the tape, others defended her.
Tiwa Savage has established herself as one of the prominent faces in the Nigerian music landscape.
Since the release of her debut album ‘Once Upon a Time’ in 2013, she has continued to enjoy recognition for her craft.
Asake, on the other hand, came into the limelight after the release of his hit song ‘Lady’ in 2020.
He is currently signed to YBNL.
