Harrysong, the Nigerian singer, has broken his silence following his arrest by the Lagos state police command.
The ‘Baba For The Girls’ crooner was picked up by the state police at the airport after a petition by Soso Soberekon, the music executive.
In a now-deleted terse statement signed by his management, Harrysong said his “phone has been seized”.
In the statement shared via his Instastory, the singer said the police “won’t allow me to communicate with my people”.
“I got arrested as I landed in Lagos, my phone has been seized and they won’t allow me to communicate with my people. Management,” the post read.
Harrysong had recently called out Kcee, Skiibii, and Soberekon during a recent interview.
He also alleged that Soberekon sent people to assassinate him in Port Harcourt.
“There are people I have been working with for years and if you say their names, you would say na Harry guy be dis, but them no be my guy, as a matter of fact, those are my real enemies. If you see Soso now you will say na my friend,” he had said.
“Soso is not my friend, he is my enemy, he wants to kill me. He sent people to come and kill me in Port Harcourt no jokes. I have evidence, videos and pictures.”
Reacting to the accusation, Soberekon, through his lawyers, threatened to sue Harrysong for defamation.
The music executive also asked the singer to pay a sum of N500 million as “damages and compensation”.
