‘Soco’ beats ‘Assurance’ to become most viewed 2018 Nigerian music video

‘Soco’, a single by Starboy crew, is at present, the most watched 2018 Nigerian music video on YouTube.

As at press time on Thursday, the music video had 28,855,380 views.

‘Assurance’, a song by Davido dedicated to his girlfriend Chioma Avril Rowland for her 23rd birthday, was initially the most watched 2018 Nigerian music video on the video platform.

‘Assurance’ now has 28,513,997 views.

‘Soco’, which was produced by Northboi, features Wizkid, Ceeza Milli, Spotless and Terri, a 2018 Starboy signee.

Fans of both Afropop artistes habitually engage in an argument on which of the duo is Nigeria’s biggest male acts.

However, both artistes shut down rumours of a discord between them when Davido made a surprise appearance at Wizkid’s concert and invited the Starboy to his much-hyped 30 Billion Concert.

“No beef, no hate, just love. I want you to post this after the show. We’ve got Mo’Hits reunion, my boy Wizkid in the building, Kiss Daniel and Duncan Mighty,” Davido said after the concert.

“If me and Wizkid can settle, anybody can settle. Shout out to Wizkid, that’s my brother.”
