Daddy Showkey, a Nigerian galala singer, says people are trying to kill him but that won’t stop him from speaking the truth.
The ‘Getto Soldier’ singer’s plight was directed towards the federal government for giving a man rights to park trailers in Ajegunle, his neighbourhood.
He expressed his displeasure after accidents involving trailers and petroleum accidents asking the government why they won’t direct the trailers and tankers to more upscale areas like Lekki and Ikoyi.
In the video he shared on his Instagram page, the singer also recalled a time where toxic wastes were disposed of in Ajegunle.
“Information reaching me is that are planning to kill me I dey I look una,” Showkey wrote.
“The tankers and trailers parking around our neighbourhood should leave now. We are crying out now.”
Showkey said he will not be silenced as he will continue to speak out on injustices and disregard for human lives.
In 2017, the ‘Diana’ singer raised an alarm over the rate of killings in Ajegunle.
“Ajegunle people crying for help the killing is too much and nobody is doing anything. Are we not in Lagos or we are not Nigerians, please help us. They kill people every day in Ajegunle, nobody is doing anything about it. Please help us now.
