Stars of two hit television series, Kerry Washington and Viola Davis, will come face-to-face during a special two-episode crossover event.
Washington plays the role of Olivia Pope in ‘Scandal’ while Davis plays the role of Annalise Keating in ‘How To Get Away With Murder’.
The crossover episode titled ‘Allow Me to Reintroduce Myself’ is slated to take place on March 1.
According to the plot, after pitbull attorney Annalise appears on ‘Scandal’, Olivia — now President Mellie Grant’s (Bellamy Young) chief of staff — will head over to ‘How to Get Away with Murder’.
The producers of the show haven’t revealed any details yet but their meeting is said to have something to do with Annalise’s class action lawsuit against the state of Pennsylvania over wrongful convictions.
Both actresses are ecstatic to be working together. “It was black girl magic on steroids!” Davis told EW. “Me and Kerry dancing to ‘Rock the Boat’? Hey, it can’t get any better.”
Washington said, “I really love Viola. I have such immense respect and admiration for her.”
