The Nigerian music industry is already generating buzz about what’s to come in 2025. Last year, fans were treated to spectacular albums. Wizkid finally delivered his long-awaited album ‘Morayo‘, while Asake came through with ‘Lungu Boy‘, and Ayra Starr dropped ‘The Year I Turned 21‘.
Tems released her debut album ‘Born In The Wild,’ Rema took it up a notch with ‘Heis,’ and Fireboy delivered ‘Adedamola,’ his fourth studio album. 2024 lived up to the hype in the music industry.
With 2025 already here, some artistes have announced their albums and TheCable Lifestyle takes a look at projects you should look forward to in the year:
1. ‘No Sign of Weakness’ – Burna Boy

The Grammy award-winning singer is set to release his eighth studio album this year, although the date remains unknown. He recently put out ‘Bundle By Bundle’, a single believed to be part of the forthcoming album.
2. ‘5ive’ — Davido

The Nigerian music heavyweight revealed that his fifth album is “my story, my truth, and my growth”. He has also teased fans with what to expect from the album with the release of ‘Funds‘ and ‘Awuke‘.
3. ‘I Am The Blueprint’ – Qing Madi

After the success of singles like ‘Ole’ and ‘American Love’, Qing Madi announced that her debut album would be coming out this year. The project is a follow-up to her self-titled extended play (EP) released in November 2024.
4. ‘Clarity of Mind’ – Omah Lay

Omah Lay’s projects are always a must-look-out-for, and ‘Clarity of Mind’ is definitely not an exception. Though the release date remains unknown, fans would be looking forward to the singer’s second studio album.
5. ‘Uncle K’ – Kizz Daniel
Another project to look out for in 2025 is Kizz Daniel’s ‘Uncle K’. It remains unsure if the body of work would be an actual album or an extended play (EP). The singer initially wanted to release the project in December but had to postpone till further notice for family reasons.
