Yul Edochie, the actor, has tackled Rufai Oseni, the TV journalist, over his altercation with Jesutega Onokpasa, a member of the defunct APC presidential campaign council.
The drama started on Monday after an interview by Oseni, who is the co-host of the Arise TV’s ‘The Morning Show’, resulted in a heated argument with Onokpasa on live TV.
Oseni had asked Onokpasa, who is an avid supporter of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, to share his opinion on the petrol subsidy removal.
A heated war of words would later ensue between the pair, with Onokpasa berating Oseni for “raising his voice at me”.

Reacting to the altercation via Instagram on Tuesday, Edochie slammed Oseni for being “disrespectful and unapologetic” to Onokpasa.
The actor also tackled the journalist over the manner in which he addressed his guest.
Yul further questioned Oseni’s “ethics as a journalist”.
“Is this not the same Rufai Oseni that was caught driving against the traffic? That drove on BRT lane last year or two years ago somewhere in Lagos? And when officials caught him, instead of apologising and admitting that he was wrong, what was he saying? He was shouting ‘do you know who I am? I am going to call the governor of Lagos state,” Edochie said.
“Same Rufai Oseni that is insulting people on national TV. All in the name of doing journalism. You do not have any right, or moral justification to talk where men, people with integrity are talking. You are talking nonsense on national. You are a very disrespectful person. You have no respect for the laws of this country. If somebody like you becomes president, you will wipe out Nigeria.
“The first thing you should have been taught is to respect your guests. If you have a guest and you are talking in a particular manner and the guest does not like it. The first thing you do is to apologise to that guest. Make the guest feel comfortable. Then you continue with your question.
“Jagaba Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the president of Nigeria and you must respect him. Give him the respect that he deserves.”
