Yul Edochie, the Nigerian actor, on Tuesday, revealed why he did not attend the burial ceremony of his colleague Junior Pope.
Although he did not mention names, his post comes a few days after Pope’s funeral service.
In April, the actor passed away after a boat accident on the River Niger in Asaba, Delta state.
He was buried on Friday in Nsukka, Igbo-Etiti LGA in Enugu state.
His funeral service was held at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church, Ukehe.
In a post via his Instagram page, Edochie said he refused to mourn his late colleague because “he offended me”.
The actor added that Pope “betrayed me” after I took him as “a brother and good friend”.
The controversial film star said he is going to share full details soon.
“I didn’t want to say anything till after his burial. I know many asked why i wasn’t there, why I haven’t said anything yet,” he wrote.
“I took him like a brother and good friend. I was there for him when he needed me but he stabbed me in the back repeatedly. That’s life.
“I will drop full details soon so others can learn from it. Be careful what we wish people, it could come to you.”
