Yul Edochie, the Nollywood actor, says the actresses named in the alleged sex scandal involving Apostle Johnson Suleman, the clergyman, should be subjected to social media backlashes.
In the past years, Suleman has been enmeshed in the labyrinth of “sex scandals”.
Fresh allegations recently emerged after a blog claimed the cleric had an affair with a host of Nollywood’s finest actresses including Georgina Onuoha, Queen Nwokoye, Shan George, and Vivian Metchie.
Other actresses who were also named are Lilian Bach, Iyabo Ojo, Ruth Kadiri, Mercy Johnson, Chinyere Winifred, Larriet Omo Brish, Ini Edo, Joy Ogbunu, Angela Okorie, and Mary Uranta.
Recently, George and Halima Abubakar engaged in a war of words over the alleged affair involving Suleman.
Nwokoye also had to address the claim that she had an affair with the clergyman.
Joining the fray, Edochie taunted his critics who he said had faulted his disapproval of social media blogs.
Edochie said those listed in the alleged sex scandal with Suleman should be made to face social media backlash.
“E don reach una turn to collect una come know say [Instagram bloggers] dey carry unverified news,” he wrote in pidgin English.
“Una say wetin concern Gistlover inside people matter?
“Una say Nigerians are quick to insult people without verifying the story. But una follow dey drag me since on top my own matter wey no concern una, matter wey una no verify the cause.
“Na lie oo. No, be now e go end. Everybody go collect wotowoto. Anybody wey dem mention for Apostle Suleman matter make una drag am well well. Since we all want to be mad in this country.
“My own be say I even noticed that almost all the people mentioned have one thing in common. I’ll be back with that gist later.”
Edochie’s comment comes on the back of the social media criticism he faced over his marital troubles.
The actor had sired a child with Judy Austin, his lover, in April to the chagrin of May Edochie, his first wife.
He went further to unveil Judy as his second wife, generating mixed reactions across the media space.
In reaction, Edochie would put out a monologue where he spoke about his reasons for resorting to polygamy.
