The cause of Adeyemi’s death was however not revealed.
Adeyemi was famous for his role as Suara in the Super Story series ‘Oh Father! Oh Daughter!’ — where he had two wives; Buky Wright and Sola Shobowale.
He also starred in ‘Lekki Wives’ and took roles in several other movies.
Suara was renowned for his stage and screen performances.
Husseini Shaibu, the movie journalist and juror at the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), also confirmed Suara’s death in a tribute shared on X, formerly Twitter.
“I have been reliably informed that veteran actor Chief Yemi Adeyemi aka Suara has transited,” he wrote.
“Popular as Suara, Chief Adeyemi rode to prominence playing Suara in the long rested ‘Oh Father, Oh Daughter’ series of the hugely popular Super Story stories by Wale Adenuga Productions.
“BabaSuara as some of us his younger colleagues simply called him, reportedly “acted out” this Sunday. Journey well Baba Suara. You will be surely missed. Odigba Sir. Journey Well.”
