Susan Peters, multiple award-winning Nollywood actress, says women should be allowed to marry two husbands.
The movie star, with over 50 credits in Nollywood films, disclosed this on her social media page, though she did not provide the context within which the post was made.
According to her, the idea of women marrying two husbands should be welcomed, just in case the unexpected happens.
“Women should be allowed to marry two husbands in case thunder fires one,” she wrote on Instagram.
Born on May 30, 1980, the Benue-born actress has featured in several Nollywood movies alongside some decorated figures in the movie industry including Ramsey Nouah and Rita Dominic.
Her blissful career has also seen her snagged a host of awards and recognition. The 39-year-old model got married to a Dutchman in 2015. It is believed that the duo are no longer together.
Peters’ view comes on the heels of several other individual opinions on relationships and marriages.
Stella Seal, award-winning Ghanaian gospel singer better known as Stella Dugan, had last year argued that there was nothing wrong with a man marrying two wives so long as he can cater for them.
Mike Eze-Nwalie Nwogu, a Lagos nightclub owner better known as Pretty Mike, also made the headlines recently for saying “a beautiful lady isn’t meant for only one man.”
