The 29-year-old talented songwriter had taken fans by surprise when he dropped the video of his new song in the early hours of Friday, without prior announcement.

‘Ghetto Love’ also comes several months after Wizkid had hinted that he would be releasing a record-breaking album.

While a segment of music lovers have thronged social media platforms, especially Twitter, to hail the singer for blessing them with his latest offering, others have expressed reservations with respect to the quality of the song and demanded something more appealing.

“Wizkid did this, wizkid did that…  Wizkid no longer sings well, wizkid is now trash, we’ll move on if wizkid doesn’t give us a befitting album to redeem his name blah blah.

“STFU and move on, those of us that still like baba like him like that #GhettoLove,” a user wrote.

“#GhettoLove @wizkidayo no released this song for him haters we him fans like the song,” another user wrote.
