Wizkid and Burna Boy, the Grammy-winning Afrobeats singers, are teaming up for another joint single.
The ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner announced this during his O2 Arena concert in London on Wednesday.
Wizkid pulled off a three-night show at the North Greenwich venue as part of his ‘Made In Lagos’ tour.
During the concert, he invited top acts like Chris Brown, Burna Boy, and Tems to perform alongside him.
After their joint performance of ‘Ginger’, Wizkid announced to a cheering audience: “Tonight, Burna Boy and I are dropping a new song. We have a new video waiting for you guys. Don’t dull; don’t sleep on the bicycle.”
Wizkid, who was nominated twice for the 2022 Grammys, has had a stellar 2021.
In October 2020, he released ‘Made In Lagos’ (MIL), his fourth album. He has been on tour for the project, selling out concerts across the globe.
In 2021, Wizkid dropped a video for ‘Essence’, a track off MIL, and followed up with a remix. with Justin Bieber, the Canadian music star.
‘Essence’ shot into the Billboard Hot 100 chat, cracking into the top 10.
Wizkid had also released an 18-track deluxe version of the project, receiving global acclaim.
The 31-year-old was recently named Apple Music’s African artiste of 2021.
