Wizkid, the Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, says he wants his colleague Asake to perform at his wedding.
Speaking in a recent interview with Apple Music, Wizkid said the hit song ‘Omo Ope’ made him an instant fan of Asake, but ‘Remember’ occupies a special place for him.
He said the hit song is non-negotiable on his wedding playlist and he wants Asake to perform it live.
“‘Omo Ope’ definitely made me an Asake’s fan, from the first day listening to that. But my favourite Asake song, and I think you have to play that on my wedding day is ‘Remember’,” he said.
“You have to play it. Oh my God, I love that song, bro. That song is so amazing, and I think you are amazing. You have one of the most special voices from home and the world in general.
“And I’ve told you this million times and I’ll say it again here on radio to let people know how special you are. You’re a blessing to African music.”

Wizkid and Asake also announced a joint project believed to be an extended play (EP) titled ‘Real (Vol. 1)’.
Although this will be their first collaborative EP, the duo have worked together before — Asake featured Wizkid on ‘MMS’ from his album ‘Lungu Boy’.
Wizkid is currently in a relationship with his manager and third baby mama, Jada P. The couple share three children together.
