Bimbo Ogbonna, wife of Ikechukwu Ogbonna, the celebrity car dealer better known as IVD, has passed away.
Mama Jazz, the sister to Bimbo, announced her death in a series of Instagram posts on Saturday.
In one of the posts, Jazz accused the Lagos-based businessman of killing Bimbo.
“My hands are shaking. Bimbo is gone. Bimbo is gone- My sister is gone. The fire is burning me Haaaaaaa. IVD you killed my only sister, Abimbola. IVD killed my sister, IVD killed my sister, IVD killed my sister,” she wrote.
Oyindamola Martins, Bimbo’s brother, also shared several videos of his sister and IVD having an argument.
“So sad my sister fell in love with a thief and a drug addict…” he wrote in one of the posts.
Bimbo’s death comes amid claims of domestic violence in their marriage.
In 2019, Bimbo accused the businessman of assaulting her for several years.
But a year later, IVD played down rumours of a rift in their marriage. He also shared a video that they had reconciled.
It is understood that a fresh drama started on Wednesday after the couple were said to have had a heated confrontation.
During the alleged altercation, a fire was said to have gutted their home in Megamound Estate, Lekki, Lagos, leaving IVD’s wife severely injured.
Bimbo was rushed to an undisclosed hospital after which she passed on.
IVD had earlier claimed Bimbo was the one who assaulted him on several occasions.
The businessman also shared a video of the injury allegedly inflicted on him as well as properties destroyed in their house by Bimbo.
