Simi, the Nigerian singer and songwriter, has put out a star-studded video for her hit song titled ‘Loyal’.

‘Loyal’ is the fourth track off ‘To Be Honest‘, the songstress’ chart-topping fifth studio album, which was released in June.

The video for the Blaise Beatz-produced song was directed by Kemi Adetiba.

In the visuals for the Fave-featured track, Simi also enlists the help of a plethora of notable names in the entertainment industry.

They are Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Stephanie Coker Aderinokun, Samuel Perry (Broda Shaggi), Mariam Bakre (Mory Coco), and Frank Edoho.

“You say you gonna let me down / If it were up to you, you woulda let me drown / Anywhere you dey me no fit settle down oh no / Ko si anybody to le tan mi / Ke ma foshi lo mi I don’t fuck around, ask anybody to mo mi – no / You no be my enemy / But you ain’t no friend to me ‘ Cause people ride for the people that ride for them too / If you’re riding with me, then I’m riding with you / See I say what I mean, So I tell you the truth / And now we’re through / Me I only give what I’m wanting,” the first verse reads in part.

Simi started off her music career as a gospel singer.  She gained prominence in 2014 after putting out ‘Tiff’, a song that was nominated for The Headies 2015.

Simi signed a record deal with X3M Music in 2014 but left the label in 2019 following the expiration of her contract.

The singer thereafter launched her own record label Studio Brat.

She has become a household name in the music industry with several hit tracks including ‘Duduke’.

She is currently married to Adekunle Gold, who happens to be a singer. The union is blessed with a child.
