Yinka Ayefele, the ace Nigerian gospel artiste, has shared a video on social media wherein his kids asked him why he is bound to a wheelchair.
On December 12, 1997, the singer was involved in a car crash that damaged his spinal cord and confined him to a wheelchair.
The singer also welcomed a set of triplets with Temitope, his wife, in 2019.
In the now-viral footage, Ayefele is seen having a conversation with two of his triplets. Richard, one of the triplets, asked the singer why he could not stand again.
In his response, the ace musician said he had a car accident.
Not satisfied, the curious boy inquired to know more details about the accident.
Ayefele thereafter narrated how he drove on a slippery road and his car somersaulted several times before landing in a pit.
He also recounted how he was taken to the hospital and then underwent treatment in the United Kingdom.

“They always want me to stand up… And they kept asking me why every day, even up till last night… I tried hard not to be emotional… Indeed, it was ‘My turning point. 12/12/1997’. To God be the Glory,” he also captioned the video shared on his Instagram page.
