Boluwatife Ayodeji Balogun, now performing under the stage name Champz, recently unveiled his debut EP ‘Champion’s Arrival’ — a five-track project now available on all major streaming platforms.

Tife said the EP reflects his confidence, creativity, and determination to make his mark on the global stage.

In a brief comment while heading into a New York Knicks basketball game, the ‘Ojuelegba’ hitmaker was asked about his son’s new venture.

“We love it man, he’s my kid you know,” he responded.

In 2015, Wizkid revealed that should his son become an artiste, he would sign him to his Starboy record label on a lifetime contract.

“If my son ends up being an artiste, that’s more money for me. I’ll just sign him to Starboy on a lifetime contract, we’ll keep it in the family. I’m not even going to sign any other artiste again,” he said.

Boluwatife, known as Tife, is the first son of Wizkid (born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun) and his former partner Shola Ogudu.

Tife revealed that his musical vision is to create a fusion of Afro-swing, hip-hop-infused Afrobeats, and subtle elements of Afro-fusion.

His love for music began at an early age. He started making beats at nine and writing songs for fun by ten. His passion deepened just before his 14th birthday when he told his mother, “Mum, I want to become a rapper; it’s my calling”.
