Mr Eazi, Afrobeats singer, has put out a short film for ‘The Don’, the first track of ‘Something Else‘, his recent EP.
The short film, which premiered on Monday, sees him play a criminal kingpin incarcerated on an island penitentiary.
The nearly seven minutes footage kicks off with a prison transportation scene after which some masked men ambushed the vehicle in which Mr Eazi was being taken to a maximum detention centre and whisked him away.
It also features Eazi’s Empawa label as a news medium reporting the development.
In his solitude, Eazi then begins a monologue where he says: “You must think I’m stupid, it’s so funny how you talk. That me not being on the scene; me staying on the inside meant I didn’t know what was going on.
“They didn’t know I only went to restrategise, to come back even more powerful. Y’all just out here hustling. It’s time for you to pay rent. I own the system. I’m the don.”
