Johnny Drille, the Nigerian alternate singer, has put out his cover of Davido’s recent song titled ‘Stand Strong‘.
On May 13, the ‘OBO’ crooner released the song, which featured The Samples, Kanye West’s Sunday Service choir.
In ‘Stand Strong,’ Davido reflected on the hardships he faced in life and his perseverance to pull through.
He also urged people to stand strong irrespective of the challenges that come their way.
Drille, whose real name is John Ighodaro, on Tuesday, announced the release of his creative version via his social media platforms.
Without diverting from his signature tone, Drille’s version is laid back with piano keys, creating a surreal sound.

Drille started his journey in the music scene when he featured as a contestant on the sixth season of Project Fame West Africa in 2013.
In 2015, he came through with a cover of ‘Awww’ by Dija, Nigerian singer, who later turned into a label mate.
His unique sound caught the attention of Don Jazzy, CEO of Mavin Records, and he signed with the foremost record label in 2017.
The Mavins artiste has since then established himself as a household name in music. He has also received several recognition and awards.
In 2019, he bagged the ‘Best Alternative Song’ award at The Headies.
