Dj Neptune, the disc jockey, has enlisted Spyro, the fast-rising singer, for his latest single titled ‘Count Your Blessings’.
Spyro announced the project in the early hours of Friday with throwback pictures of himself.
He talked about his music journey. He also recalled how he used to compare himself to Davido and Wizkid; wondering why his career hasn’t progressed as quickly as theirs.
The singer said he never knew “God was taking me through my own path to greatness.”
Spyro also emphasised the rich benefits of gratitude.
“A story of grass to grace … I use to compare myself to @davido and @wizkidayo asking myself why my star ain’t shining as theirs and that made me forget how Good God has been to me and I couldn’t see how he was taking me through my own path to Greatness,” he wrote.
“A lot of times we tend to forget where he brought us out from and focus on what’s happening with others and we lose sight of what he has In stock for us.
“Show me a depressed person and I will show you someone that doesn’t reflect to count his/her blessings …Do not forget “what you appreciate appreciates and the act of being ungrateful depreciates you.”
In ‘Count Your Blessings’, the duo express gratitude to God for the blessings they have received, and the transformation that has occurred in their lives.
“Alaye no dey shalaye, count your many blessings, no dey farawe, give thanks to God ko de ma groove, me wey God carry come from the bush, now I be living fly, help me shout hallelujah, all of my guys seem cashing out,” the lyrics read.
