Johnny Drille, the Nigerian singer, has come through with the visuals for his latest single titled ‘Believe Me‘.

The video, which features Nollywood stars Tomi Ojo and Wale Ojo, was shot in the form of a short film and directed by Perliks Definition.

In the visuals, Wale Ojo plays the role of Tomi’s father, who disapproved of her relationship with Drille because he was struggling financially and had his own preference for his daughter.

However, their love persevered, and Wale eventually accepts Drille as the man for his daughter.

Don Jazzy also makes a cameo appearance in a restaurant scene and gave a spectacular performance.

“What have you done to me/ I no know, oh yeah/ What have you done to me/ I no know oh/ Believe me/ Believe me/ Believe me/ E gats be you/ I need you/ I need you for my family/ Believe me/ Believe me/ E gats be you/ I need you/ I need you for my family,” the lyrics read.

“It must be you/ It must be you o Anwuli/ I need you/ I need you for my family/ It must be you.”

The song was released on April 11 and has received positive reviews from music lovers.

Shortly after the release, the music star and Tomi sparked dating rumours on social media.

Drille started his journey in the music scene when he featured as a contestant on the sixth season of Project Fame West Africa in 2013.

In 2015, he came through with a cover of ‘Awww’ by Dija, the songstress, who later turned into a label mate.

His unique sound caught the attention of Don Jazzy and the music executive signed him to his record label in 2017.
