Burna Boy, the award-winning Nigerian singer, delivered his first performance of the year at the 2025 Pièces Jaunes Gala in Paris.
The event was held at the Paris La Défense arena in France on January 23.
Dressed in a white and denim outfit, Burna Boy thrilled the audience with an electrifying performance of hit songs like ‘City Boys’ and ‘On the Low’.
The Afro-fusion star also gave an energetic rendition of ‘Last Last’, accompanied by dancers on stage.
The Pièces Jaunes Gala is a major annual charity event organized as part of the Pièces Jaunes campaign, which raises funds for the Fondation des Hôpitaux to support hospitals and improve the lives of young patients.
This marks the third edition of the gala, which has continued to grow in scale since its inception.
The event brought together prominent artistes such as Katy Perry, Rosé, J-hope (of BTS), John Legend, Aya Nakamura, and J Balvin, among others.
Born Damini Ogulu, Burna Boy gained fame after releasing ‘Like to Party’, the lead single from his debut album ‘L.I.F.E’ (2013).
Since then, he has released seven albums: ‘L.I.F.E’ (2013), ‘On a Spaceship’ (2015), ‘Outside’ (2018), ‘African Giant’ (2019), ‘Twice As Tall‘ (2020), ‘Love, Damini‘ (2022) and ‘I Told Them‘ (2023).
He has also won several awards. In 2021, the Afro-fusion artiste won the ‘Best World Music Album’ category at the Grammy Awards for his fifth album ‘Twice As Tall’.
In April, the Port Harcourt-born singer made the Time Magazine’s list of 100 most influential people for 2024.
