Wale Jana, the managing director (MD) of Sapphire Scents Limited, has advised people to keep whatever they consider special off social media

The businessman gave the warning via his Instagram page on Tuesday.

In the post, the entrepreneur described social media as “a toxic environment” where “evil eyes monitor people’s progress and cast spells and incantations on their pictures.”

Jana also said he is going private on Instagram to limit the number of people who can see his posts.

“This platform has become too toxic, it is like living in a house without a gate and windows. Protect yourself on this platform,” he wrote.

“I’m going private on Instagram, I’m limiting my battles. No more feasts for witches and for envious, jealous people!”

In another post, he said: “There are evil eyes on social media monitoring your progress and casting spells and incantations on your pictures. If it’s special to you don’t post it.”

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) recently arraigned Jana over alleged N12 million fraud.

The businessman was arraigned on three-count charges bordering on misappropriation and obtaining under false pretence before M. A Madugu of the federal high court sitting in Bwari, Abuja on October 4.

Jana, however, pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
