Adesokan Emmanuel, the Nigerian skit maker fondly called Shank, was involved in a car accident on Saturday.

The incident occurred along the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway, a route that is currently under construction.

Video footage from the scene showed Shank standing beside his severely damaged vehicle as onlookers gathered.

The front of the yellow Mercedes-Benz was completely wrecked, with debris from the crash scattered across the road.

Shank later took to his Instagram page to share photos of the aftermath while expressing his gratitude.

“The craziest thing happened to me today on stream. I crashed! God is good. Sorry for your Benz @habbyforex_. God, thank you. This would have gone worse. Drive safe guys,” he wrote.

Shank, a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), started his career as a stand-up comedian during his undergraduate days before making his foray into skit-making.

He gained prominence on social media during the COVID-19 lockdown with his viral skits that often highlight relatable Nigerian experiences.

Shank has also garnered millions of followers on the major social media platforms. He recently also ventured into live streaming.
