Mo Abudu, the CEO of EbonyLife Group, has announced the company’s expansion to London, United Kingdom.

In a recent LinkedIn post, the media mogul disclosed that EbonyLife acquired a property on Wandsworth Road.

According to Abudu, the property will be transformed into the EbonyLife Place London, a cultural and creative hub celebrating African culture and heritage.

She said the hub will give African creatives a space to showcase their talent, monetise their work, and amplify their brands.

Abudu also said it will be a home for African film, theatre, music, food, art, and fashion, bringing the continent’s storytelling and talent to a global stage.

The 60-year-old tycoon added that EbonyLife Place London will be open in the fourth quarter of the year.

“The EbonyLife Group has officially acquired a stunning property in the heart of London, on the famous Wandsworth Road—just minutes from the West End and near the new iconic American Embassy—with breathtaking views of the city’s skyline,” she wrote.

“Set to open in Q4 2025, EbonyLife Place London will be a first-of-its-kind cultural and creative hub, offering unparalleled opportunities for African creatives to monetize their work and elevate their brands.

“It will celebrate the very best of African film, theatre, music, food, art, and fashion—a true home for African storytelling and talent to thrive on the global stage!”.

The hub will offer a range of amenities including:

  • EbonyLife Cinemas London – A 180-seater theatre dedicated to the theatrical release of African films, especially Nollywood. This will be the first African cinema in London!
  • Turaka London – Bringing the rich, bold flavors of Nigerian cuisine to the heart of London.
  • Art Exhibitions – A dynamic space for African artists to showcase their work to a global audience.
  • African Fashion Retail – A curated concession area featuring Africa’s most exciting fashion brands.
  • Concerts for Emerging Artists – A vital venue for rising music stars from Africa and the diaspora.
