Davido, the Afrobeats star, on Tuesday night, thrilled the audience at the 50th Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Awards ceremony in Manchester, UK.

Clad in an ash-coloured sweatshirt, the ‘Unavailable’ hitmaker mounted the Lowry Theatre stage and delighted the crowd with some of his hit songs.

The Afrobeats singer’s exhilarating performance also drew applause from the audience, including renowned international football stars.

During the ceremony, Bukayo Saka, the Arsenal forward, won the Player of the Year award, while Erling Haaland of Manchester City was named the ‘Players’ Player of the Year’.

This is not the first time Davido will be performing in front of a football-loving crowd.

In December, the singer showcased his musical talent on a global scale when he performed at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Davido’s influence has increasingly grown in the music space in the over 10-year span of his music career.

The singer released ‘Timeless’ on March 31.

On April 10, the album secured the 37th spot on the United States Billboard 200 chart.

‘Timeless’ surpassed one billion streams across major platforms on August 3.

The album is Davido’s fourth project. His three other bodies of works are ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ (2012), ‘A Good Time’ (2019), and ‘A Better Time‘ (2020).
