The concert, a key stop on his ongoing ‘5ive’ album tour, saw the hitmaker ignite the stage with energetic renditions of tracks from his critically acclaimed fifth studio project.

The enthusiastic crowd sang and danced along, a scene of pure excitement that Davido later shared with his followers via clips on his Instagram story.

The singer also brought an overzealous fan on stage during his performance of ‘With You’.

In a now-viral video, the singer expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and underscored the importance of celebrating his homegrown fans.

“If we can go to the US to do the shows, we can still bring those same productions to our fans here back home because these are the fans that helped us to reach there,” he said.

“So appreciating them is necessary and I am happy that it is during your tenure. This is actually my first show in the north after 14 years. I feel at home already.”

Finitri, on the other hand, appreciated the singer in a post via his X page, framing Davido’s landmark concert as a direct validation of his administration’s achievements.

He highlighted that the star’s choice to perform in Yola is a testament to the improved security and ongoing urban renewal efforts in the state.

“It was a pleasure to welcome the global star, @Davido, to the Government House, Yola. We are particularly glad he chose Adamawa as a key stop on his five-state tour. His presence here underscores our progress,” he added.

“It is a testament to our administration’s hard work in ensuring security and our aggressive urban renewal drive that is rapidly transforming the face of our state. We are honoured by your visit.”

The ‘5ive’ album tour kicked off with a spectacular show in Akwa Ibom, where Davido performed for a massive crowd at the 30,000-capacity Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

The tour is scheduled to continue its journey across Nigeria, with upcoming stops in Enugu on November 1 and Ibadan on November 9.

A grand finale is planned for Lagos on December 25, though the official tour schedule notes that the Lagos date may be subject to change.
