Since breaking into the mainstream, he has established himself as one of Africa’s most successful artistes, known for his genre-blending style and chart-topping albums.

In 2021, the self-proclaimed African Giant won the ‘Best World Music Album’ category at the Grammy Awards for ‘Twice As Tall’.

The singer recently faced intense scrutiny in recent weeks over a viral incident at his concert in Colorado, where he ejected a couple in the front row for sleeping during his performance.

The incident sparked widespread discussion, which intensified after an Instagram live session where Burna Boy stated he only wants supporters who buy his tickets.

The fallout appeared to have extended to the singer’s touring schedule.
