Michael and Cherry, two stars of the 2020 edition of the ‘Ultimate Love’ reality TV show, have become the first couple to be checked out of the ongoing show.
The duo were evicted on Sunday during the live check-out show after they received the least number of votes out of the five nominated couples from the voting public last week.
It was, however, not all gloom as the couple went home with N350,000 in their portmanteau following their go with the Jeopardy game on stage.
In the wake of their evictions, eight others were nominated for possible check-out during the live nomination show on Sunday.
As announced by Dakore Egbuson-Akande and Oluwaseun Olaniyan, the couples expected to face possible eviction are Jeriton, Roksie, ObiEbi, Bolar, JayKech, Chivia, DoubleChris, and Jelo.
While Jeriton led the pack this week with four nominations, Roksie and ObiEbi had three each. Bolar, JayKech, Chiva, DoubleChris, and Jelo also got two nominations respectively.
However, Adesuwa Onyenokwe, the show’s ‘Aunty’, has the power to save one of the couples from possible eviction at the cost of having to perform a task she chooses.
Selected to that effect are ObiEbi and JayKech, as the couples with the least number of votes will be evicted during the check-out show next Sunday.
The 2020 edition of the reality show had kicked off on February 9, 2019, pitting sixteen “love guests” against one another, in what was described as an “interesting love story.”
The winning couple is expected to be rewarded with a lavish traditional wedding ceremony and a house should they commit to getting married. They are also to get a cash prize of N5 million.
