Ubi Franklin, the Nigerian music executive, has opened up about his feelings for Lilian Esoro, his ex-wife.
During a recent Q&A session on his Instagram story, a fan asked Franklin if he still loves Esoro.
“Are you still in love with ur son[‘s] mom, the most beautiful Lilian?” the fan asked.
In response, the music executive said his love for her will always exist because they share a child.
“Oh yes! We have a son together and love will always live there,” he said.
Franklin and Esoro tied the knot on November 1, 2015, but they separated a year later.
Esoro initially filed for divorce in a Lagos high court, which was denied.
Franklin then filed for divorce in Abuja, and after years of legal proceedings, their marriage was officially dissolved on January 28, 2021.
They share an 8-year-old son named Jayden.
In 2017, Franklin disclosed that he struggled with depression for nine months following the breakdown of his marriage.
Aside from Jayden, the music executive has three other children from different relationships.
He had Zanetta, his first daughter, with a woman who refers to herself as Igala’s finest. Sandra Iheuwa is the mother of Ariella, his second daughter, and Nicole Siyo, his South African partner, gave birth to Shiloh, his second son.
