Ogechi Tonukari, the Nollywood actress better known as Gechi Gexh, has forayed into film production with ‘Miss Perfect’.
The film star, who played in the series ‘Tinsel‘, is making her debut with the newly released movie.
Directed by Tagbo Ability, ‘Miss Perfect’ stars the likes of Okey Uzoechi, Bolaji Ogunmola, Oby Titus, Gloria Okafor, Tony Tidy, and Kayode Freeman.
The movie follows the life of a self-righteous lady who sees nothing wrong with herself but finds fault in everyone.
Shot in Lagos, it is meant to reflect the extremes in religion and its unseen effect on society.
“Religion should not be used as a pass mark for a sin-free and Christ-like life,” Tonukari said while speaking of the film.
“I feel the best way to reach out to society and send a strong message is through my work. People listen or learn better when they are not forced and through what they enjoy.”
As an actress, Ogechi Tonukari starred in the series ‘Tinsel’, which has been showing since 2017.
She also acted in ‘Women of Power’, a 2019 project.
Tonukari has starred in a number of movies including ‘Dead Silent’ (2018), ‘Without Love’ (2019), ‘Not My Throne’ (2019), ‘Warriors in Heels’ (2020), and ‘Tantrum’ (2021).
‘Miss Perfect’ is produced by Gloria Okafor, with Tonukari as the executive producer under her production firm.
It can be viewed on Africa Magic Showcase, Channel 151, as well as on the streaming platform Showmax.
