To mark his 18th year as a performer, Sound Sultan is set to hold a star-studded musical tagged ‘Jungle Story’.
The stage show is expected to feature a number of top Nigerian actors, comedians and musicians.
According to the organisers, Jimi Sholanke, legendary actor, will come out of retirement to play the role of a narrator in the stage production.
‘Jungle Story’ is scheduled for October 12 and 14th at the iconic Terra Kulture.
The A-list celebrities on the line-up include Richard Mofe-Damijo, Wale Ojo, Ali Baba, Mr Ibu, Helen Paul, Kunle Afolayan, Reekado Banks, Seyi Shay, 2baba, Simi, Niniola, and Kate Henshaw.
Others are Basketmouth, Harrysong, Gbenga Adeyinka, Emmanuella, Ramsey Nouah, Bovi, Lasisi Elenu, MC Lively, Broda Shaggi, Segun Adefila, Falz, Okey Bakassi, Olamide and Baba Dee.
On his inspiration for the musical, Sound Sultan said: “Art, as they say, is the imitation of life and that’s exactly what the Jungle Story is about.
“It’s still the same story of the poor getting poorer and rich getting richer. I am trying to use my music and art to influence the society in a very creative way that will hold the audience spellbound.”
