The much-awaited finale of the Big Brother Titans (BBTitans) is finally here.
Six housemates will battle for the show’s grand prize of $100,000 later today. They are Tsatsii, Ipeleng, Ebubu, Yvonne, Kanaga Jnr, and Khosi.
The show premiered on January 15 and has witnessed several remarkable moments.
From drama, love triangles, and controversies to twists, the maiden edition of the show will dominate discussions for weeks to come.
The reality show started with 20 housemates but four others housemates were added in a twist by the organisers.
The timing of the show initially raised dust as it started a few weeks before the general election.
Yunusa Tanko, the spokesperson for the Labour Party presidential campaign committee, (LP-PCC), earlier alleged that the show was sponsored to distract the youths.
“We have credible information that it’s being sponsored by one of the major opposition parties to distract the Nigerian youths from changing the leadership that has placed them in perilous times laced with abject poverty,” he had said.
“As a party with the sole aim of turning our dear country into a place where poverty, unemployment, ‘japa’ will be seen as a taboo is being threatened by an opposition that hates the Nigerian youths with passion.
“Big Titan or whatever they may call it will distract the youths from taking what belongs to them now.
“The Big Brother Naija ended not long ago, why the ‘Titans’ now that we are facing a major election that will determine the future of the Nigerian youths?”
The BBTitans finale will hold tonight at 20:00 CAT.
